Familiar buildings

FullSizeRender.jpgI have now been asked several times to make a design of the front of a building. I have always been drawn to buildings and think it must be something to do with all the builders we have in the family. My grandfather had a builders merchant in Alresford which my parents then inherited and ran successfully for many years. Watching a brick layer at work was a source of childish interest and I even had a go once. Later my husband became a quantity surveyor and then my daughter followed in his footsteps. My son is an electrician. No surprise then that I enjoy reproducing buildings that capture my imagination. So far that has included Laurence Oxley’s and the Fulling Mill in Alresford and more recently the shop fronts of BH6 and the Larder House in Southbourne. At the moment I am working on a secret print for a good friend whose birthday comes up at the end of August. Her hubby thought she would enjoy a print of the front of their house.

If you fancy getting your home or business made into a print or into cards do let me know.
